Knottingham is a very special place to live. Little Over a mile. Beautiful quiet streets and a sidewalk on the busiest road. Only a couple lights along the way. But I do love boulevard and surrounding area. Have lived in this area for 17 years. I hear the school district is great. And being able to walk to downtown is fantastic. Not sidewalks though throughout neighborhoods, so will have to walk in the street for a majority of the walk. Downtown is extremely expensive ".
Great college environment. I Recommend living in bridgewater area. Everyone is very nice. I love my neighbors. You can see many people out and about walking their dogs. Athens is a pretty dog friendly place. Great dog parks in town! Greenway is also a great place for walking dogs! Great teachers! Many students walk home from school if they live close enough. Not much traffic and a steady flow. Much better than when I lived in Atlanta!
Plus property owners are cruel with pet parents fees, Uncompleted maintenance,. Resident 2y ago. Neighbors are not neighborly. Too much crime and police do not do their jobs. Would not recommend raising your children here. Also the public schools are terrible.

I think Athens is a great, diverse community and culture is always good to experience. I see a lot of dogs being walked all around the neighborhood. I'm not familiar with the routes the buses take, so it would be nice if we as residences could get a buses schedule in the mail from time to time My commute to downtown is not to far. The only noise you usually hear is children playing. The houses look nice. Also,there are a few police officers that live here, so I feel safe. A college town.

Clarke central high schhasvbumped very positive experience for my children. Our daughter is starting University of Georgia this fall ,she has taken 11 AP classes at the high school and has definitely had a very challenging experience with those classes.
The students who enroll in AP classes are self-motivated students who are willing to put in a lot of extra effort for the reward. The benefit of this is that the classes tend to be small and like minded students attend his classes for the most part. My son is just about to start his sophomore year at Clarke Central high school and he is experiencing the same challenge of AP classes, orchestra, band and athletics Our youngest daughter will be finishing private school eighth-grade and starting Clarke Central ninth-grade and my wife and I are confident that she will have an outstanding experience as well.
Clarke Central serves a very diverse population students and I was worried that my children would not be challenged in this environment but when students enroll in the more difficult AP classes it becomes a sort of school within a school. They are forced to do a lot of extra homework and writing.

The staff is top shelf and my daughter is gaining a wonderful education here. We are looking to move to a bigger house as our family grows and one of our requirements for the new home is that we stay in this community and stay zoned for Ogelthorpe Ave Elementary, BHL, and Clarke Central.
