Cons Extreemely poor management. I worked for 3M for almost 20 years as a sales rep in the Automotive Aftermarket Division. During that time, I was blessed to work with literally hundreds of wonderful associates and customers. While the job involved a fair amount of travel, that was a plus as there was always something new going on. The company is top notch in so many ways and the pay, benefits and culture of the company are outstanding! Pros Pay, Benefits, Company Culture.
Traveling too many sites , new software and training people that don't take the time to learn. Differences with IT group different product info. Pros Good pay. Cons Management communication. If you don't mind being at work 6 days a week for 10 hours or more. Mandatory overtime is required. The pay is excellent and your checks are big for the type of work that you do. When it comes to the leads and supervisors there is absolutely no accountability for workers.

Company policy can force work for up to 28 days straight. Working on the management side, I had never seen employees treated so poorly and with little regards to family obligations. Highly recommend unionization for fair and adequate front against a short sided top leadership group. Worst bonus structure I have seen! At 3M you have freedom and flexibility to do your job as you see fit. Management is always open to your ideas and will take your input.
There is good job security, but sometimes that means low performers are not addressed. Cons Slow moving, decision making is very centralized, too many internal reviews and presentations.

Many roles and responsibilities are unclear and employees are expected to do far more with fewer people. Good pay for the work. Like I said the pay is ok but you are worked like a dog. We a forced to work 10 hours a day Monday -Friday and then forced to come in on Saturday for 8 hours minimum.
As of late the have also forced us to work Sundays for a minimum of 8 hours. Upper Management is a joke and that includes the supervisor. Pros Lots of money. Cons Lots of forced overtime. HR is on corporates side and not yours. As of Dec 8th I will be terminated for refusal of the Mandated Vaccination along with many others.
Management cannot answer many of our questions about the mandate and refuse to put up much of a fight to keep us employed. They've already posted many of our jobs. Federal Contractor Company. Pros Great employees.
