The University of Indianapolis was the first institution in the State of Indiana to offer graduate level education for occupational therapists. Successful completion of a degree at either level from an accredited program, such as the University of Indianapolis, will make an individual eligible for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy NBCOT exam and, in turn, state licensure.
UIndy is committed to continuing to educate and develop outstanding occupational therapy practitioners now and for many years to come. UIndy's School of Occupational Therapy offers the following comprehensive and hands-on programs:.
The OTD program meets five days per week and requires an additional level of in-depth experience within the Doctoral Capstone. The MOT program meets two days per week and works well for career changers and those who wish to continue working while going to school. Even though the program was entirely virtual, each professor made me feel part of a small, caring and compassionate community.
Not only did I receive an amazing education at UIndy, but I excelled beyond my expectations. I am immensely thankful to the UIndy English Department for guiding me on this journey of education and self-discovery. I am thankful for my time spent here.
I am truly grateful for all the opportunities UIndy has provided me. Take this learning and touch the lives of others as your life has been touched.
My education can be a driving force for positive changes in the community. I am grateful for all of the friendships, connections, and many memories I've made while here. Greyhound for life! Community-based educational experiences such as internships, practicums, service learning, fieldwork, etc. You're a dreamer. But also a doer. And now you're considering graduate school. We've designed our graduate programs to fit your busy life, offering evening, weekend, and online courses for many of the degrees.
