Stevens isn't bad and its not great either. There are quite a few things I would change about the company as a whole if I could. They will get you trained and put you in a truck. You have the option to be a lease operator or its pushed to be a lease operator rather hard. The equipment is ok but its depended on who had it before you mainly. The loads you get are not to bad for the most part. If you know who to talk to and are likeable then you will have a easier time getting the right loads that will keep you moving.

In the end they will not hold your hand or show you how to run a truck but they will get you your cdl and teach you to drive it. Pros experience, cdl training. Cons no communication, training is not consistent, pay could be better. Stevens is a great place to start. I came in with zero experience aside from truck driving school. Before truck driving school the largest thing I ever drove was a Chevy Avalanche. You probably see some negative reviews.

They are a starter company for new drivers at the time I was getting. Stevens just implemented the largest pay increase in its year history. Driver managers blame the load planners for you not getting loads that have miles.

When they fire you they, the load planners reduce your assigned miles and then claim poor performance with the managers. But over all I do not recommend this company as they caused many problems just to turn over senior drivers to quit for cheaper trainee drivers. Pros You still live in a free country and can leave. Cons The will probably screw up your pay and attorneys from dallas wont accept your case.

Only had 1 manager ever be honest to me out of the 6 i delt with. This could be a great company but the management has no clue when it comes to real issues employees encounter, most had no clue about what the employees job tasks actually were or how they were performed.
