Journalist Kay West spoke for many in after readers of Nashville Life magazine chose the venue as the "worst place to hear live music" in a poll of local bests and worsts.

That all changed when Live Nation sold the acre Starwood property to Vastland Realty Group, which planned on developing a mixed-use townhouse-and-retail development called Starwood Commons.

We missed all the shows, but we did almost fall into an uncovered five-foot-deep drainage catch.
