This morning we made an awesome…. Love this place. I come here on a daily basis. I love Yaffa - the funky decor, the reasonably priced food, the really delicious options for vegans which I am.

I've dined there with veggies…. Arrived this past Saturday with my wife to a busy and energetic dining room. I have lived in New York for about 6 years and been to Cafe…. This place is just good fun alone or on a date.

I like the chalk board tables and the colored chalk they leave out in a bowl. Zutto, 77 Hudson Street , is TriBeCa's only Japanese restaurant, with reasonable but unexciting sushi, shashimi and tempura, barbecued meats and teriyaki.

Large pieces of a paper-thin bread called inerja are used to scoop up the stews and braised meats. But most of the dishes are toned down for the American palate - nothing too fiery or unknown. Kitfo, a form of steak tartare, is delicious, bright red and highly spiced. There is beer, or you can bring your own wine. At Ponte's, 39 Desbrosses Street , signed photographs of Frank Sinatra and southern Italian cooking are the order of the day.

The pepper mill is as big as a cannon, there are an artificial-grass sidewalk, grottos, tropical fish, plastic ferns and a paneled red-leather maze of dining rooms and bars with strolling musicians. The food is hearty - lobster, pasta, surf and turf, and veal scaloppine. Ponte's is closed Sundays. Teddy's, at West Broadway , has boardroom restraint by comparison, with suede walls and beige imitation-leather banquettes. The food is Italian and Continental. On Saturdays, dinner only is served, and the restaurant is closed Sundays.
